Doors/Room Tags not showing up

I'm running 2006. We got a background from an architect. They had used Inventor, or some other architectural design package. The walls, windows, doors are all one giant block. Exploding removes all sorts of details (like the outline of some walls, and doors, for example). So, we're having to use it as it came.

My coworkers are running 2008 LT and they are seeing the doors and room tags. On my machine, I don't see them. I'm also missing other minor details like countertops and equipment. There's clearly some compatibility issue with whatever program they used and 2006 acad. I've downloaded the architectural enablers from autodesk and also service pack 1. Neither of these things have worked.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Request that the architect sends you the file by "exporting to autocad 2004"
