Is there a way you can generate/export a list of material/building components in NavisWorks?

If so, is it better to do it in NavisWorks or Revit?

(For example, like a breakdown of a list of building components, such as wall, ceiling, door, light fixture, etc.)

Arkitectonix makes a plug-in for Navisworks that allows the user to export a report based on search/selection set data. One could imagine a search set that captures FF&E quantities that can be exported to either XML or Excel file.
