    Default text strings on schedules?

I have a some equipment with a type mark 'FTC' and a numeric mark (1,2,3...). I want in my schedule a column for 'symbol' that says FTC-1, FTC-2, etc. Is there a way to do this as a string of text? So for each piece of equipment would read (type mark)-(mark). I found some stuff on how to make formulas in schedules but nothing about using parameters like this. Thanks in advance.

You cannot link the 2 parameters together. All you can do is add a secondary parameter with the appearance you want. Basically double work. You could try to do if/then statement formulas, but i think that would be more work than it's actually worth, if it actually does work. You might as well just do it manually or do what is commonly suggested by Autodesk "just accept it"
