So, with DirectX enabled GPU speeds do count for something. Has anyone considered the GeForce GTX a safe bet yet?

Or, arguably a bit more on topic: a crossfire setup?

I tried running Revit 2010 on a friend's SLI Crossfire computer, and didn't notice any huge improvement in Revit. But there was in Max. So maybe next year?

Wes, I haven't seen any hesitation or limitation with the configuration we're currently using. I wouldn't mind using the approved drivers, I'd just like to test them first though I haven't seen the list to know which driver is approved by Autodesk. There's one on nVidia's site that claims to be optimized for Autodesk products. Is that the one? Would the new driver supplement the CPU with the GPU? Would there be some other benefit?

Hey Mike -- dunno on your questions about CPU/GPU... but I'd say check the version number on nVidia's recommended-for-Autodesk driver vs. Autodesk's tested driver for AutoCAD 2010 and see if they're the same version number.

    Cheers
