    Cool Network Plotters

I hope this is the "propper" place to start this inquiry. I've seen a lot of complaining on these forums of where threads are supposed to not be started and they don't go on to say "then where"....Anyway

Ok. Here's what I got..... They can now see the custom .pc3 files, pmp's, ctb's, etc. But they cannot see the paper sizes I have created (Customized).

    For example:

    Pre-customization paper size options:

    Custom 1 8.5x11(landscape)
    Custom 1 8.5x11(Portrait)
    Custom 2 8.5x11(landscape)
    Custom 2 8.5x11(Portrait)
    Custom 3 8.5x11(landscape)
    Custom 3 8.5x11(Portrait)
    Custom 4 8.5x11(landscape)
    Custom 4 8.5x11(Portrait)
    Custom 5 8.5x11(landscape)
    Custom 5 8.5x11(Portrait)

This is what they still see...

This is what I actually created in the pc3 file

    Custom 1 11x17
    Custom 2 18x26
    Custom 3 24x36
    Custom 4 30x42
    Custom 5 13x42

The issue is, I can see all the new settings using the pc3 file just fine, like I'm supposed to.

Everyone else can see the pc3, pmp, etc files, but they still get the default (out-of-the-box) paper sizes like I listed above......

I don't get it.....It seems like theirs one more switch I'm missing....And it realley doesn't make any sense why they would not be able to see the the paper sizes.

Keep in mind, it's not the pathing issue for pc3, pmp, ctb files, we've already tackled that part properly...

    Thoughts, Feelings, Experiences.......Rock on.....

Have you checked to make sure that that PMP file that the PC3 file is attached to on the shard location? They tend to get saved to a PMP on your system if you don't change the PMP location under options.

The PMP location is hardcoded in each PC3 file. So if you initially created a PMP on your local computer for a PC3 file, and later moved both files up to the network, thinking that the Options, Files location would make things happy, you are incorrect.

You will need to edit the networked PC3 file to use the networked PMP file.

Good idea. But, originally I generated our Standard network drive (S as we needed. All of the PC3 files I created for all our printers/plotters were originated on the network drive in the same location everyone is pathed to. I did not generate them on my hard drive and then move them to the network. That makes complete sense.

So I'm still at square one. Any other thoughts, always appreciated...
