    Default Coordinating two models

I'm opening a CIS2 file (.stp) from a steel detailing software and then appending a Revit Architecture model converted to DWF into Navisworks Manage 2010. The result can be seen in attached, NAVISWORKS.jpg

The second attempt was to convert the CIS2 (.stp) file to a DWF as well and append the two models together. The result can be seen in attached, NAVISWORKS2.jpg

I'm still very new to using this software for coordination. What is the method to coordinate the coordinate system of multiple models in different file formats?

    thanks!

Do you have access to Revit and the original model? Revit and Navisworks installed on the same computer will provide Revit with a tool to create the NWC file directly, rather than relying on a DWF conversion.

If you cannot go that route, the 2nd result looks fine other than the need to apply a translation to get the models lined up.

What is the method for applying a translation?

Also, I have the Revit/Navisworks add-on, but some reason I get this message when I click on it (see attachment)

Would this be because I'm using 64bit Revit and 32bit Navisworks?

Select one of the models in the selection tree, right-click, and override the transform.

That's a good guess, but I'm not sure that's the cause of the error. Why are you using a 32-bit version of Navisworks? The install media for Navisworks has both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
