    Default Weird Scaling Issue

Somewhere between my Construct and sheet I have a scaling issue going on. The device looks correct on the construct but shows up teeny tiny on the sheet. I have checked the scale of the viewport and it is correct.

This is an upgraded 2007.1 project to 2010.

    ?!?!?! Help ?!?!?!

Sure, you checked the viewport scale, but did you check the annotation scale?

But of course. Everything but certain devices are scaled correctly.

I think you should post the two drawings. You can remove all but the sample you show if need be.

Here they are. The bulk of the content has been removed and arch xref's unloaded.

I sent this to the lab also in a SR.

Thanks for taking a look Robert!

Well, it is annotation scale related.

Annotation scale can be different than the viewport scale. When you upgrade drawings before 2008 (before annotation scales came out) the legacy viewports do not assign an annotation scale appropriate for the viewport scale. (Don't get me started on this issue! I've complained rather vocally to Autodesk about how annotation scales are determined and assigned.)

So the annotation scale on the viewports is set to 1'-0" = 1'-0" even though the viewport scale is 1/8" = 1'-0".

Simply unlock the viewport, set the correct annotation scale, and regen the viewport.

There is also another place where this can go wrong. Use the "units" command to open up the drawing setup file. On the second tab, there is scale. Make sure the scales in that box also match the scale you want to use.
