Multi Core support?!?!?!?

With all the Multi Core processors out there now days, why is Autodesk not writing Multi-Threaded applications of Autocad and Revit? I am sure it is more work for them, but the processing power that could be realized by it would greatly improve their products and make those of us that have to use them, happier. Does anyone out there know if they are working on developing this? If so, any ideas when we could expect it out? It frustrates me, to no end, to be waiting on my computer, watching one of 8 core's pegged out at it's maximum, and the other 7 idling.

the answer to "Why" is usually money. In this case, people are not refusing to upgrade because of the lack of multicore support. Adding multicore would make customer's happier, but would probably not increase incoming revenue much.

Beside, multi-threaded processing with out massive OS support is _hard_ to do. there's a lot more testing required, and many more opportunities to fail somewhere with race condictions, poor logic, etc. It's going to cost a lot of resources, and with revenue dropping like a rock, I fail to see the Desk doing it just because it would help us get jobs out the door.
