Question How to obtain count within a DB

    HI all
I am trying to create a DB that can do the following. I will use a simple desk and chair as an example.
The block expands the table and adds a chair every say 2 ft. What I desire is a count of the chairs at the end of the block . So if I have one chair the number is 1, if It is stretched to ten chairs the number 10 appears.

I have seen this done for parking stalls but have not seem just how it is accomplished.

Any help will allow my hair to grow back .

    Thank you

It is most likely using an attribute with a field which includes a formula based on one of the dynamic properties within the block.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.

I am very attached to the idea of using dimensions for this.
A while back, some one else turned me on to this:

Put in a dimension say, from the center of the first chair to the proposed center of the next chair.
Turn off all elements of the dimension except the text (put it on a non-printing layer).
Change the dimension measurement units from one to 1/24 (if they are 24 units apart).
Include the dimension in the stretch, but not the array.

This should work to give you a count of the number of items in the array.
I used this to give me a count on shelf pin hole arrays.

Let me know if this works, while I go looking to see who helped me with this in the first place.

Chris.N, Dynamic Blockhead Mod, is who I got that solution from.
    Thanks again, Chris!
