    Default Construction sequence in Timeliner

I'm not sure if somebody has done this before.

When you import the Revit file to Navis, the wall is just a rectangular entity. But in the construction sequence (4d simultion), if I want to show the metal studs first, then the drywall, then the paint, how can I do that?

Do I really have to physically model the studs, tracks, drywall separately in order to show them? How about the paint? Do I just make it a super thin layer?

Yeah, i usually don't go into that detail with the sequencing...

However, if i want to show the in-wall piping rough-ins and such, i usually create some custom appearances and task types for the walls and give them transparency so you can see what is going on inside the wall at a certain time.

only other way would be to model the wall assembly as three separate walls within revit. one interior finish wall, one core structure wall, and one exterior finish wall. this one may be more work than its worth.

so it depends on what exactly you are trying to accomplish here.
