Is it possible to make a dynamic block from a 3D block? I have been looking around and had no luck. Are dynamic blocks strictly 2D blocks? I do not know of anyone still working in 2D.

I think dynamic blocks are created to be 2D. I have created 3D content then copyclip/pasteclip it in my dynamic blocks. While in the block editor, they aren't editble in 3D, only plan view and the only thing I have done with them is add visibility states. If anyone else knows anything otherwise I would LOVE to hear about it as well.
I'm in the same boat... I have created dynamic blocks of 3D blocks using the visibility states but I'd like to add a stretch function in the Z axis. As it stands the only way to use the stretch command in ACA2009 is in X&Y axis. I tried to create a few custom dynamic parameters but they all failed stating "Invalid 2D point".
If anyone can clarify that my findings are correct or provide a link or brief tutorial that would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance to all advice and comments,
~David

There is no support for 3D in dynamic blocks. Nothing will affect objects in the Z axis, nor can you stretch solids in any axis.
