    Default QTO and Timberline

Hello there, I heard earlier this year that about July sometime that QTO would be incorperating a link into timberline as innovaya does. Has anyone heard anything about this and where it is at in this process? If it is true, are there any suggestions on how to get a webinar or something to demonstrate this? Thanks for your time.

The plug-in is still in development. I am waiting to hear from Sage Software, the owners of Timberline and the authors of the Timberline <-> Quantity Takeoff plug-in, on an exact release date.

Wondering how soon the plug-in will be available from Sage Timberline. It would also be great to see some documentation on the process/workflow.

    Hi there,

The plug-in has been released. A fairly detailed explanation of it can be found here:

...and here's a video from my colleague at Ideate, David Haynes, showing the connection from QTO to Timberline:

Beware that I've ran into a bug in the last release of the plug-in whereby quantities weren't transferring accurately from QTO to Timberline (specifically count quantities). I believe a new version was supposed to be released early this month, though I haven't yet seen it.

EDIT: Disregard, this bug has been corrected in the latest version.

Tocoman also offers BIM based quantity takeoff and estimating e.g. from Revit models.
