    Cool Comma's in numbers

it would be nice for the formating of automatic number labels to be able to have a comma after thousands. Specifically right now I am looking at an area tag that reads "10593 SF" I would like it to be "10,593 SF". I'm trying to think of where this shows up, and it's mostly in areas i think, but any number over 1,000. The reason I say checkbox instead of automatic is because I don't know if there are other countries with other standards. If this is a worldwide standard, I would just make it automatic...

I'd like to see a currency prefix as well as the comma's.

There would have to be some kind of check box or instance parameter that you could apply to specific numbers because you could have a manufacturer's part number longer than 4 digits that you wouldn't want to have automatically divided.

I'm imagining a data type for currency and then formatting options for number, integer, currency would govern region specific number grouping. Pretty much the same as it is in most other apps that format numbers (Excel, Access etc)

Well, there are different standards of course. In Russia there is a decimal comma and grouping period, the other way around. Generally, the operating system keeps track of the format (Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options), and the wish is for Revit (perhaps with fune-tuning) to respect the setting.
