Question Text within a complex linetype displays underside down, is there a way to flip it

When I changed my polyline linetype to a "GAS" linetype the words are upside down. Is there any way to switch them around to read it normally?

You would need to reverse your polyline. If it is in a curved section, it will read counterclockwise.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.

What's the simplest way to reverse it? I've never tried anything like that before. Thanks for the advice by the way. Y'all are really helpful.

The reversep.lsp routine should do it. I have not used it and cannot vouch for it.

PLREV.LSP from http://www.turvill.com/t2/free_stuff/index.htm will do it.

Also, if the polyline contains arcs, LTGEN must be ON for the linetype to display correctly.

I use rev.lsp by Tom Beauford. I have no idea where I got it, it might have been here somewhere

Also, a low-tech, non-lsp approach is as follows:

    1. draw a polyline (command: pline) from the endpoint of the line that is displaying 'upside-down'

    2. make sure that the polyline you draw in step #1 is diplaying how you want it to: 'right-side-up'

    3. once you have your new polyline drawn, and it is displaying like you want it to, edit the polyline (command: pedit) and then select the 'join' option within that command.

    4. join the polyline that is giving you trouble.

    5. the old polyline will inherit the attributes of the new polyline you created in step #1.

    6. now you can either break or trim the new polyline segment that you created to remove it from the drawing

The newer versions of AutoCAD now have the REVERSE command.

NEWER must mean 2009 or higher because REVERSE does not work on 2008.

Newer means 2009 + bonus pack 1 and higher.
