    Default Revit to LEED

I was wondering if anyone out there used there Revit model to produce LEED documentation whether through out-of-the-box Revit or plugins such as Green Building Studio, Ecotect, IES VE or another.
What were you able to extract from your model?
    and was it successful?

    Cool Re: Revit to LEED

I believe that thru an export to IFC format, the other apps you mention can
make analysis from the BIM model. There is also a specific language for green building studio called "gbxml" which is used in the web-based green building studio environment.

    Check out this website:

hope that points you in the right direction.

    cheers......

Might be of general interest (LEED specifically is mainly a US thing at present)...

I attended a webinar on Ecotect a few days ago and the Autodesk presenter mentioned that he has set up a blog, also that he is mainly a Revit user, so there is a hope that more Revit-related information in this context may appear (he is on holiday this week):

    Yo ws,
If Revit functionality is extended to cover off full LEED it would be a good thing overall, however, I hope its never implemented in NZ. I would dread that event.
Might be good for another thread this...

On a related note, IES has been promising a BREEAM plug-in for RAC for a while now... which would be interesting to see exactly what information can be extracted from a model that is useful for BREEAM.

I wondered about BREEAM vs LEED and found this article which summarises the two quite neatly

    Hello,
I am wandering what is the most efficient way to draw an outline and take off the areas for a LEED 8.2 credit Views for 90% of space in Revit? What is the most efficient way?
    Thanks in advance

does anyone have experience working/ managing LEED project using BIM model? I'm curious about this for my research project. Please share your experience, such as your opinion as you worked on it, or what particular credit you managed to achieve and how to do it briefly, or any difficulties, etc.
thank you very much in advance
