...all numeric fields take math input. Do you need a calculator elsewhere?
How about typing in "calc" (no quotes) at a command prompt, in the "Start Search" box in Vista or in the "Run" box in XP?
I love my Construction Master Pro Trig calculator... can do feet and fractional inch calculations along with all trig functions. I have no need for anything else.
I'm with Aaron...all numeric input fields can take mathmatical formulas. Take a Dim or Temp Dim for example. When you click on the text to enter a new Dimension Value, start with the = sign, and then type any expression. For example; =1' 6 5/8" + 2' 4 3/32" will return a value of 3' 10 23/32", and enter it in the Dim for you.
you can also use trig functions such as sin, cos.tan, atan, sqrt, etc.
That's what I'm using now, but for some reason it wants to round 1/16"'s.
I'm using it for shop drawings The quick calc in Acad worked rather well, I just thought it'd be a nice add. Of course I'd rather have them fix all the other major issue with the program before they spend any time on my calculator.
How good a calculator is Revit?
I have been playing with Topos to trying to get cut and fill calculations to work
The example JPG attached shows a square pyramid 5000x5000 base x 3000 high.
The level topo is set at 1500 high
Base Area /3 x height should be (2.5 x 2.5 )/3 X 1.5 = 3.125m3
but Revit gives me 3.155m3
I've tried re drawing and even turning the pyramid up the other way it still gives me 3.155m3
