Default Plan Regions and Masking Regions don't work

I'm having difficulty getting these to work consistantly and at this point, I think its just yet another "Revit clitch". I understand the concept of each, and in some instances, they work properly. In others, they take no effect at all. I did notice that I can't have the cut plan in the Plan Region set the same as the rest of the view or nothing will happen. I also tried "bring to front" but, it many other instances, the Regions do nothing at all no matter what the settings are.

Another thing that should be so simple, but turns into a huge headache.

    Anyone else having this happen?

I am also having this problem. It is very frustrating that the plan regions don't work properly in Revit MEP. I am working on a building where there are different roof levels throughout the building and it is very difficult to get what I want to show up on the correct floor plan. Does anyone know if this is being worked on by Autodesk or has anyone come up with a solution on how to get plan regions to work?

Our CAD Administrator has been in contact with CTC on this issue and they have no solution.
I've been having to create a separate View for the area where I want the Plan Region, adjust the view properties, and then place that view on the sheet. This is obviously not the ideal work around but its all I can come up with.

I am working on an existing 5 story building that has multiple levels on each story that I would like to show on 5 plan views. They appeared fine in our model in Revit MEP 2009, but when we upgraded the model to Revit MEP 2010 Build 20090925_1815(x64) the plan regions now do not show certain objects in a plan view (the objects are there in sections and 3d views).

Has anyone come up with any other workarounds for this and is this an upgrade issue or does this happen in projects that were started in Revit MEP 2010 too?

    Thanks

I thought they fixed that issue in update 1 build 20090612_2115.
Plan regions now display correct geometry.

For some reason with the supscription release pack Revit MEP 2010 Build 20090925_1815(x64) the problem is still there.

Make sure your view is set to hidden line!?

All views are set to hidden line and they still do not show the missing objects.

I was playing w/ plan regions today for an area that has a different roof height but same floor height. I was getting nothing to work just defining the top plane lower (at the lower roof level) but I changed the cut plane from being the same as the rest of the view as buhrito originally said (from 7'6" to 8'0" and all of a sudden it seemed to work OK.
