Question Plug-In for 3DS Max Design 2010 for Inventor files

I need to import a native Inventor file into 3DS Max. I am told that I need Inventor on my computer to do the import. Is there a plug-in for Max that allows me to import native Inventor files without having Inventor installed on my PC? Thanks.

PolyTrans will only import Inventor files into their NuGraf app. You have to re-export it from NuGraf to Max. I'm not sure how well that would work; it's been my experience that going from one program to another may not be so bad, but moving between 3 or 4 programs can really mess with your models. They were also really rude to me on the phone when I called back for support.
