Can anyone confirm there are NO issues migrating 2008 content forward to 2010?
There are a couple that come to mind from 2008 > 2009, and maybe a couple from 2009-2010 as well.
I believe there is an issue with Light fixtures from Pre-MR era (200not rendering.
Some graphics settings behave different in 2010 than in 2009, so i had to change any
Titleblock families that were using White text on a Black filled region... The previous setting of 255/255/255 transparent background didnt work, and i had to make it 254/254/254 set to opaque, for some reason.
I think there were some other small ones, but those are what come to mind. So short answer: No, its not completely free of issues. Upgrade a copy, thats what we do...
Thanks! I am taking a lighting consultant's office forward from 2008, and wanted to query the community. Thanks for the confirmation that nothing serious was out there...
LOL, that wasnt exactly what i said... Particularly if theyre all LIGHTING families, lol...
Also you may need to look at materials, custom materials may not map up to 2010 very well.

So far, nothing SERIOUS (nuclear fallout, server partition blowing up)...renderings are not a priority right now, as we care primarily about the documentation tools working correctly. Thanks to both of you for the prompt responses, and making us aware of the relatively inconsequential migration issues.
You will find that exterior daytime renderings are dramatically faster on the 64 bit operating versions, due to accessing increased rendering. Renderings using model lighting sources can be another thing altogether. Also IMHO the rendering quality is better.
As for as CD's are concerned, we are saving a significant amount of time by using the feature of creating Filters that affect view Sections and Elevation types, meaning automatically hiding the Interior elevation symbols on Architectural plans, but not the Interior Design plans..
