    Default Moving the Model

I have a question about moving revit model for a project I am drawing. It was not drawn in the true northing and easting coordinates in AutoCad. I now have the information of where each corner of the building should be located (northing and easting). How do I move the building with in the file so each corner of the building is aligned to the true northing and easting coordinates? This is a task that is easily accomplished in AutoCAD, but I cannot figure out how to do it in Revit.

Go to Manage / Coordinates / Specify Coordinates at a Point, then select the known point, and type them in....

Is this in 2009 or 2010 because I can't find that on Revit Arch. 2009

In 2009 it is under Tools--> Shared Coordinates --> Specify Coordinates at a Point. This won't fix your north alignment the directions below will.

I think you could also link in the DWG and move it and align it to the right spot then go to Tools-->Shared coordinates --> Acquire coordinates. Then click on the DWG. This will import the DWG's coordinate system. Note that your "project coordinates won't change but shared coordinates will. So make sure your level markers, spot elevations, and spot coordinates are set to "shared" if that is what's desired.

You may need to switch your plans to display true or project north as needed in view properties
