When I create a parts list, my desc is coming up blank. I have checked the properties and have both the title and desc filled in, but still comes out blank when I make parts books. Any Suggestions? Im using Inventor 2010.

What got us for a bit when we first started out, is that ipt/iam and idw levels have i-properties with description and title fields. I don't believe there's an easy way to automatically copy from the ipt/iam level to the idw i-properties, so you have to edit the title block and replace the ipt/iam link with the idw link, or vice versa.
Once you're editing the title block, open the format text dialogue box. Delete the old parameter and select the appropriate source in the type drop-down, either properties-drawing or properties-model. Choose the property and hit the arrow next to the greyed out precision. Repeat for any other parameters you need changed.
If you have IPT/IAM properties you can goto Document Settings in your drawing and tell it which properties to copy. Then there is an update copied Model properties in the Manage tab I believe. This has to be used to update these changes. I would agree that you should reevaluate your titleblock, styles, and iproperties to make sure you getting them from the right source.
