Default Migrating R13 to new XP machine

My old XP machine has died. New one coming, but has no LPT port. Will my hardware lock work through a USB LPT port? Also I seem to recall that I had to ask XP to emulate either Win95 or 98 to get the program to load and run. (Sorry, as m/c is dead, can't check!) All advice gratefully received.

R13 runs fine on my XP 32-bit with no emulation modes needed. Not sure about with a hardware lock, although I know we run some older surveying software apps that require a hardware lock and the USB LPT port converter works fine on them.

The new machine might have 64-bit XP and that will require emulation of 32-bit XP.
This search in Google might help with the hardware lock "sentinel dongle emulator".
