Default AutoCAD Architecture link to Revit Structure

I am wondering how I can get a linked floor plan from ACA (AutoCAD Architecture) to show up correctly in my Revit Structure project. I've set "Proxygraphics" to 1 in AutoCAD and this has solved some problems, but the linked floor plan (which was built in 3D in ACA) shows up in Revit without doors and walls showing properly. The door swings are not showing, and the walls aren't cut at the doors. It's not a big deal - as an underlay plan I may want just the wall lines showing up w/o doors in the final plan, but I would like the flexibility to show it either way if possible. Is there some kind of object enabler to bring a ACA model into Revit properly? Thanks.

There is always IFC but I haven't had any luck with that.

I've found the most accurate way is create a view in AutoCAD Architecture that shows what you want and Export to AutoCAD from either a 2D or 3D modelspace view (depending if you want 2D or 3D elements in Revit). The result is another file named, by default, with ACAD-[filename].dwg

This smashes the AEC elements to basic AutoCAD entities but seems to work best. Link the resulting ACAD-[filename].dwg to Revit. If the AutoCAD Architecture model changes just open, re-export the view to update. Hope there is a better way but it's the best I've found to date.

Thanks for the reply - I was hoping for a more elegant solution. I can "fix" (explode) or export the ACAD file and link it into my Revit project, but that makes it a static file. I'll have to redo the process every time they send me a revised plan. That kind of defeats the purpose of a linked file that would automatically update. I thought since all these products were AutoDesk that they might play better together

Any other thoughts on this issue? I am having the same issue with Revit Architecture where I cannot view the ACA drawing in 3D.

export to autocad is the only reliable method i have run into. IFC never works well in my opinion.
