    Default Site Plan - Co-ordaniates

    Guys

I am having issues setting up my site to OS (UK) Co-ords, I am assuming its due to the 1.7km restrictions that RS has.

I shall talk you through what I am doing. You can then let me know if I have it wrong.

I have a site plan in CAD DWG Format that is to OS co-ords, I have ID points and its spot on. So, I make not of a point in CAD.

I then link the CAD file in and find noted point where I then do a spot-coord.

I then goto manage -> co-ordinates -> acquire co-ordinates. And then its issues different numbers to what I should have.

    EG

    214050N
    487050E

The above is what I am after, then I get:

    604173N
    -717164E

So, if its the limitation issue, whats the best way of dealing with it? My CAD Survey Drawing is a big one, do I shrink that down to less tiles? I.e not all tiles are needed.

    Thanks

Our company ran into this same sort of problem when we were trying to do a light rail line for the city. We deleted everything from the CAD file that we did not need and only used a small section of the track. You can also upgrade to 2011 because supposible it has a larger limit.
