    Default Sheet Set w/ a Multi-line Field

So I want to use my standard TitleBlock and convert the sheet title attributes into a Field so the sheet title will be automated using the Sheet Set Manager. My normal sheet title block has 3 stacked, right justified & aligned text lines for the 'sheet title' to accomadate the variety and range of title descriptions needed.

How can I make a Field for the sheet title 'default' attibute which is multi-line; and which allows for flexiblity in regards to how text is placed in the title placeholder depending on the number of words in the title?

    For example:

'Floor Plan' [placed on the title2 spot as shown on the provide image]

    or

    'Section 3.05
& 3.06' [place on title2 & title3 spots as shown on the provide image]

    etc.

    See attached file for clarification!!

    thanks, daniel

Place the field in an mtext box, then use the mtext box grips to get it sized the way you want it. This won't give you much control over "hard returns", I think for that you'd have to look into custom properties.

I'm still back about 3 releases so I haven't gotten there yet. Maybe someday. . . when we have a software budget again. . .

Thanks guys! I think i read somewhere else on the forum that multiline text does present alignement problems when you line break...but maybe if i can format the text to be right aligned and use the return button when i want to move to the next line the text will stack as shown in my attached example....?

Multiline attributes? I'll have to look into that. Is that something which can be used with the Sheet Set functionality I'm speaking about? d.

nope -- until we can force a hard-return that's recognized in a field you will not be able to control the line break locations on your sheet.

    2008?

If you are on 2008, multiline attributes exist.

It doesn't matter -- unless you are willing to lose control of where the line breaks happen in your sheet titles. I can't.....

    RAND ROAD
    PLAN AND PROFILE
    STA.1 570+27.00 to STA 1890+23.00

    works,

    RAND ROAD PLAN
    AND PROFILE STA.
    1570+27.00 to STA 1890+23.00

    doesn't
