    Genaral speaking :
    1) Define loads and combinations of loads for your structure and bars (RC Beams) with “Elastic ground” attribute [Geometry/Additional Attributes/Bar Elastic Ground]
    2) Calculate it.
    3) When you have analytical results you can start design process. Use RSA layout RC beams. Layouts available in program were created to make consecutive operations leading to defining, calculating, and designing the structure easier – the layouts guide the user through the process from model generation to results. Layouts are available from the selection list found in the right, upper corner of the screen.

I think your trying to say was to define or design a regular beam but of course design of ground beam is much more differ from a structural beam

When we talk about ground beam the soil pressure should be defined. The rest of workflow looks the same. So additionally you need to define parameters of a soil.

    thanks for the great info

and after defining the soil parameter is it automatically add soil pressures to the beam?

or I need to define soil pressure like assigning loads to a bars

Yes exactly you need to assign loads to bars.

please look at the encircled w/ red it is a dimension for what it refer? is this the cross section of beam or the contact surface were the soil pressure occurs?

about the red arrow it is 100KN/m do I need to leave it as default?
