Default Cannot install ACAD 2010 on Windows 7 rc 7100

I am not able to install AutoCAD 2010 on my copy of Windows 7 rc build 7100 32-bit. It crashes with an error stating that I must have .net 3.5 installed. Windows 7 comes with .net 3.5 already, it doesn't show in the add/remove but rather in a separate area similar to XP's "add/remove Windows components". I've toggled this, installed .net 3.5 and 3.5 sp1 redistributables.

From what I gather, AutoCAD 2010 installs fine on Windows 7 64-bit.
I believe that it won't install because the installer cannot find .net 3.5 among the listed installed apps.
I am using a network deployment, but have the same results when installing straight off the AutoCAD disk.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Does anyone know where the installer checks for .net 3.5? i.e. is it a registry key I could create?

    Thanks

Get hold of a later copy of Windows_7 - the 7600 RTM version is around and works fine. I cannot actually install A2010 on my 32-bit machine because the processor is not acceptable but the 32-bit version of A2009 (which also uses .net 3.5) installed and seemed to work

    Adam,

I installed ACAD 2010 last week in the same format you described, but have only had it crash once. And with that crash it just disappeard. It didn't give me any errors at all. I did, however, install straight from the disk, not through deployment.

I know this doesn't answer any questions, but it does show that it will work on the 7100 build.

jaberwok, any ideas on how I can upgrade my 7100 to 7600?? Full reinstall is alright too! And will my existing key from MS still work? Just a side question

Google "Win7 7600", you see that it is available from MS Technet.
