    How do you check what material that is been painted on an object (say a wall using the "paint" command)?

    You can place a material tag, and delete the tag, as one way.

    use the paint tool and hover over the surface that is painted, the tool tip includes the material that was used to paint that surface

    Thanks Clay. The tooltips is the answer. Sometimes the obvious answer is just right before my eyes. Next time I will not ignore any tooltips. Thanks again.
