Default my first internal renders ACA 09 + Sketchup

I was recently asked to do some 3d renders inside a proposed church refurb
the client wanted to get an idea of how the open plan arrangement would look.

I 3d the building using ACA 09 and then imported it into Sketchup with the vray plugin, please note this is my first time doing rendering and is all self taught by watch vids on youtube.

    this was my first attempt

then I spent some more time on adding better materails

    Neil,

Excellent job and I don't believe this is your first time doing renderings! Seriously, if it is then you have a great start.

    Thanks
    Jay

    thanks for the comments Jay,

I seem to get on better with using Sketch UP with V-Ray to render my projects.

It's been hard to do as it as I'm teaching myself, would love how to use the rendering package with ACA2009/2010

but did some more for my web site recently

anyone got any good sites to visit on how to render using ACA?

    Nice efforts with the renders.

I think that those of us doing rendres should start sharing details and we can build a repository of knowledge. Serious renderers are going to continue to use Max etc so we aren;t going to get much help from them. There are a couple of papers around that have some detailed info on the Mental Ray engine and materials.
