Default Point Cloud (laser scanning) database in NavisWorks

    Hi All!

We have a large Cyclone point cloud database from laser scanning (point cloud with RGB data) and want to import it into NavisWorks. What is the best workflow to do that? what export/import file formats should we use?

Thanks in advance for your help!

(I have also posted this on Survey forum, but thought this forum is way more active and posted it here as well!)

Do you have the PTS file(s)? Those can be read directly with Review or higher. You can even publish it to NWD for those without either viewer software (although IIRC the Cyclone viewer will run in view-only mode, but I think Freedom is a little "lighter").

    Thanks for your reply!

I'm not sure about that. The company that does the scanning for us just said that they can give us the model in any format supported by Cyclone. I'm not sure what ASCII format they are using themselves.
