Families have 'halo' around them in Hidden Line view

Folks,
I've had this problem for a while and haven't been able to find a solution for it.
When I have two families that are near each other in Hidden Line view, one of them will have a 'halo' around it and hide the other one.
This happens regardless of which project I'm on or which version of Revit I'm using. Could it be a graphics card problem?

I've attached a screenshot as an example, so you can see better what I'm talking about.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What happens when the views visual style is changed from hidden to wireframe? Does the halo go away. If it does then its something in the family. What is the family category? Is all families doing it or just one? Can you post the family that is causing issues?
