    Unhappy MSI Packaging

Im trying to install in multiple pc the Autocad Mechanical 2010 thru (window installer files) acad.msi files and also acadmlp.msi file as the mode of installing the softare rather the conventional way of installing thru setup.exe for which im making an admin image by which it is loading but the language pack is not installing. Both these msi files are connected to each other and many files required are installed by the other msi files. These files are not installing the software perfectly. Can anyone tell me how to install the software properly with the help of windows installer files found inside the admin image. Thanks

I can't speak for Mech., but with vanilla AutoCAD and LDT, you can install using the .msi files, but you'll miss all the dependencies that need installed also. That is why "setup.exe" is there. I have seen people put together most if not all of the msi files in a batch file and run it this way also.

Have you thought about using soming like InstallShield?
Would allow you to rebuild the MSI or build a true bespoke MSI that matches the install to your requirements.

Have you read the documentation in the Network Administrator's Guide on GPO installation? Also note there is a posted TS document at www.autodesk.com related to some missing info from that guide.
