    Default Angles

I am working on a project that has wall angles of 147, 90, 57, 33. I can't even begin to tell you how much fun that is. We have constant STC errors. We cannot save to central becuase a fitting is off by .002 degrees. We have find the offending fitting delete it than STC. When we originally draw the fitting everything is fine, but for some reason the duct and branches "jump" in weird angles after the connection is made, causing the offending connections.

What is the best way to lock orthagonal angles of increments as these? I have looked into snap angles and those really dont seem to help.

I was reading in the Architectural post about this concren and one response was.

"If you're dealing with lots of different angles, then I suggest you break your own arms and take sick pay as it's probably more fun"

My problem is, we are so busy, I would have to work with two broken arms.

ha!! that's pretty funny...I've never known Architect's to have much of a sense of humor

I'm really of no help but I've run across the same error a few times. I can't seem to predict where/when it will happen either. I've made a similar connection on multiple floors and I'll get the error on only one of them (i think).

I'm early on in our project and when I've had problems with connectivity I just fudge it to make it look somewhat close on plan....I'll probably regret later but at this point I just have to get things out the door.

    Jeremiah,

Do you know about hitting the space bar near an angled wall? So when you go to place a fitting hover over an angled wall and hit the space bar.

    yes I do.

I am talking about perpendicular connections with mains and branches.
