View Range issues

I'm trying to put the some cable tray in for coordination and I'm trying to set it at a level of 9', 6" It's not showing up on the RCP or on the main overall plan. It's an electrical equipment family type. So when I check the view properties the elec. equipment is turned on. I've been just inserting it into the overall plan and leaving it at a level 0'0". If I change it it disappears which it should do with my view range top set at 7', 6" the cut plane is at 4' and the bottom is at 0', 0", and the view depth is at the associated level of the particular floor. If I change the top to 9'9" which is not higher that the concrete ceiling above than it should show up (correct me if I'm wrong). The problem is is that it doesn't show up on the RCP which has the proper view range setup and the electrical equipment is turned on. also in some cases i can see it through the Lights on the RCP but he height of the lights is lower that the tray and the tray is under the ceiling and lights on the RCP.

If anyone has an idea what could be the problem for the cable tray not showing up in either places please let me know.

If this is just for coordination, change your cut plane to be the same as your top offset height in your view range. Also change your underlay orientation to RCP.
