    Default Getting Closer

Here is my latest rendering using AutoCAD Architecture (with visionrez for roof and RPC for landscape). I am getting happier with my settings but still room for improvement.

Thanks to neje for the suggestion on creating a structural memeber for my brick arches. I have done that and I think it's turned out pretty well for as simple as it is to add it to my model.

    Any comments or suggestions?

    Hi Andy,
Not sure what the local customs are down there, but up our sidewalks are generally finished with a white sealer. Your sidewalks look like they were either just poured our you used a smooth finish on smooth concrete finish.
My suggestion would be to try a brush finish and brighten up the color
The house an general background look great, grass looks good, IMHO, it's just the sidewalk could use a little help.

Hey Andy that's looking great. Glad i could help. I think at times my suggestions are so 'down under' that they don't relate to how you do things up there. You are ahead of me!
I like how the grass pops up above the path. I have to try that - I think I had trouble because slabs don't (didn't) render their sides, only top but I have been using spaces instead. It looks better with the different levels. I especially like your windows. My renders typically take about 1 or 2 mins (i'm impatient) but I think your glass would up that.
Stone work looks great. Roof shingle maybe could use a little more bump.
Should the entrance have a turn on it?
I'll have to get those RPC's working.
    cheers

    Thumbs up Re: Getting Closer

Ohhhwheeee that is looking good Andy! Only thing, I am from Odessa / Midland so I am not sure if that "green" grass and trees are that realistic out there. Might need to add in some mesquite trees, lava rocks and tumbleweeds!

    Looking good my friend!
