High praise indeed coming from you Scott! Many thanks.

100% revit I'm pleased to say.

Still using 2009 as I got put off going to 2010 a bit by all of the negative comments here, although it sounds like 2011 is a big improvement plus rendering times sound like they should be quicker so very tempted!

    Hi Max,

good job on the renders. Isn't it nice to be able to photograph the as built and then relate it to whatever renders you made ? For the finals, could you please indicate render times and hardware (always so useful).
    thank you

    Thanks Trombe.

Hardware for most of them is my laptop, an HP Pavillion 20" monster with 4gb RAM, dual processor, usually about 30mins to an hour. The last ones with the hallway and kitchen were done in my office on my 8gb RAM quad core 64 bit machine and were left overnight, although I suspect they took between and hour or 2.

And yes, I love being able to see the finished product. Anyone who constantly works on projects, and doesn't actually get to see them being constructed and or finished is really missing out! (i know as that used to be me!)

Nice work. Love all the clean lines. Very tasteful designs. The externals are a bit flat, I think the brick neeeds a better bump map. And the unfortunate floating rpc's along the drive. But very nice.

    Thanks for the comments.

Scott, agreed that they are not as good as they could be. Actually I think the roof tiles are the main offender, although will take a look and see what I can do with the bricks too. The floating rpc's added a bit of 'magic' to the picture I thought!

Planting is always an interesting one. Working on a separate project at the mo, and whilst this is still work in progress, it's been interesting to see if we can match up with an existing wisteria plant on the front of a building! (still needs plenty of work and by no means the final design........)
