Have you tried redefining the block?
|
I had that problem. It's working that way because the block includes xclipped blocks! Hence turning off the frames for xclipping works. I guess you could redefine the clipped blocks within the block with trimmed block that needs no clipping. It's not too terrible.
Well, I use them to place multiple blocks within that block. In my case, a dozen or more chairs drawn around a table. I xclip them to show them pushed under the table edge.
I just installed 2010 on my computer and am running into the same issue. The phantom line is the x-clip line I use x-clip a lot in my drawings. I would really like to see a way of getting rid of the line. When I print they don't show up but it is hard to see the drawing on the computer when there are white boxed all over the place.
There are a few variables involved with frames. The biggie master frames variable is just FRAME. Set it from 0 to 3. 0 = no frames, 1 = display and print frames, 2 = display but do not print frames and 3 = use setting for individual frames.
Then you have IMAGEFRAME, XCLIPFRAME, DWFFRAME, DGNFRAME & PDFFRAME. If you have FRAME set to 3 then Autocad will determine which frame settings to use for each object based on the settings of these variables.
This is very informative information about the phantom
