During a crunch to meet a deadline this week, two of the engineers on a particular project wanted to add schematic diagrams that they had done in AutoCAD. We imported the .dwg files into drafting views and dropped them onto the appropriate sheets.
Yesterday, I went back into the model to clean up the schematics, i.e., convert them to Revit objects. The lines brought in from AutoCAD all came in as line styles named after their original layer. I had 9 or 10 imported line styles called "import:M-EQPM" and things like that.
Instead of selecting all of them in bulk and changing their style in the type selector, I simply went into the Line Styles dialog box and deleted every imported style. To my surprise, Revit automatically assigned all imported lines to the "Thin Lines" category.
Now I'm not sure if this is a glitch or not....with Revit you really can't tell, but it saved me a lot of time...
