Default Pipe Single line and double Line

Is it possible to set the veiw detail level of piping (Coarse, Fine Medium) based on family or piping type instaed of by view.

We have been looking into being able to draw a certain pipe type and have the detail level set to coarse no matter what the view detail level is set to. This way, we can have one pipien type set to fine, and the other to coarse. Depicting single line and doouble line pipe.

    Is this even possible.

Or could you define in the meachanical settings, that when you draw a pipe less than 6", that it always shows up single line. So the outside and inside dimater for say a 4" pipe would 3/32, that way it shows on the plans as single line. Would need to also have fittings do the same.

    Any insight would help.

    Hi,

Sorry to be negative - but no, it's not possible to do what you mention right now.

I assume that you want Revit to work just like Autocad MEP for this?

It's a great request though, and I'll take it back to Autodesk.

    Thanks

    Gary

You could have multiple views set to show each system the way you want then drag the views onto the sheet and layer them up (one on top of the other).

Did you steal my old (broken) keyboard? My typing used to look just like yours.
