MEP 2009 Using Multiple Cores

I usually work in RAC, but have started to use MEP 2009.

I have noticed on several occasions now that revit will use a little bit of the second core (2% max so far)

I have noticed this while open/close worksets and just now switching views. Is this typical? I know that RAC only uses more then one core when rendering, but will MEP use more then one for other stuff too?

Its probably just a background process within Revit or Windows that every now and then has some activity.

Ok, that is what i would guess. It's so sparatic and never goes above 2%.
