    Default Cannot double-click on blocks/attributes

We have recently installed 2010 Mechanical on our PCs along with Inventor. after uninstalling AutoCAD 2008, we have not had any luck opening blocks within our drawings. we have to righ-click, then goto the menu to edit any blocks, etc.

I have searched to try to find a setting that will change this back to my having the ability to simply double-click on any block to edit it.

    please advise.

Yup, I can tell you exactly how to fix it. In your CUI file (type in CUI + Enter) under your main cui file go to the "Double-Click Actions" tab, and change the Blocks heading to Block editor. That should fix you right up. You can also change anything else you want here, like your shortcut menus, toolbars, etc.
