Default select object then have area in field

Is it possible to first select object (hatch in my case) and then field calculate the area of object. Because I have lot of already drawn hatches that represent a wall areas, so I need tool to select hatch and then write area , or have it like block so I can export it to excell.

    Yes.

    Run the FIELD command.
In the dialog box, select "Object" from the Field Names list.
In the middle column, pick the object selection button.
    Select your hatch object.
Back in the dialog, select Area from the Property list.
Adjust formatting properties as needed, and place the field in the drawing.

Also if you have multiple hatches (which say needs to be added together into one value) you could use the formula field type & place nested object fields inside (as per rk's suggestion).

Or you could use my Lisp attached to do these for you automatically. The command is DimArea which simply places the field codes into text / attribute values after selecting entities with area for summation / subtraction.
