    Default Edit Room Boundary

    RAC 2010

I have some rooms whose boundary's I wish to edit. I thought it was possible to edit the boundary in sketch mode however there is no Edit Boundary button.

Any suggestions would be most apprecitive.

    Thanks!

Are you trying to increase the boundary beyond the confines of the walls or trying to reduce the room to a smaller area than the walls. If you are trying to increase the room simply sketch the room boundary line beyond the wall(s) to where you desire. Then go to the properties of the wall and uncheck the box that says room bounding. If you are trying to simply decrease the size draw the new room boundary line inside the wall. If I am off base of what you are trying to accomplish post a screen shot of what you have currently and redline in what you actually want.

    Good Luck!

Thank you for your reply, David!

I am trying to reduce the room size however I cannot seem to edit the boundary of the room object. I can select it but cannot edit the object to adjust the sketch.

I have tried to delete the room object and create a new room, however the boundary of the deleted object is still there and my new room object (once placed) is exactly like what was deleted.

    I hope I'm making sense.

Not sure what the heck I'm missing.

The edges of a room object are defined by the surrounding "boundry objects" (typically walls). You can also create room seperation lines to establish the boundry of a room object.

Both of these elements (walls and room seperation lines) are edited seperatly from the room object. The room simply conforms to the edited position of these elements.
