Default IMPORTING DATA INTO A DESCRIPTION KEY SET

Is there any way that you can import data into a new description key set from a spreadsheet or does the description key set have to be input manually.
We are setting up a new standard for the office and the senior surveyor has a spreadsheet of all the codes he wants to use already formatted and set out with the data required. He was told he could just import it into civil 3D. if so i cant find any options to import the data. Since there are over 200 codes i don’t particularly want to manually input it if I don’t have to.
Thanks in advance for any help

I don't see a way to do this in c3d 2010. I did see in the help that you can import them from Land Desktop.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.

What do you do if you do not have Land Desktop?

You can use microsoft access to create the .mdb file to import into civil 3d. There are specific table and record formats, so use the attached zipped file as a guide. You must save the file as a access 2000 database for it to be read properly.

There is also a free tool from John C. Marsau that will import and export description keys via a .csv file. You should be able to find it with a google search.

does anyone have the actual file, the DK.zip seems to be corrupt, I can't get it to download, "it does not appear to be a valid archive".
