Unhappy No dialog box when "save as" or save or qsave

    Hello
I am an AutoCAD student just transitioning to Civil 3D (2009)

According to the help menu, when I "Save as" either from the file menu or Ctl-Sh-S or command line save or qsave, I get no dialog box (as the help menu and my previous AutoCAD experience was).

I do get a prompt in the command line to specify file type, but it doesn't propose any I need.

All I want to do is save my drawing under a new name.

I think my program may be corrupted, as the "Open new document" no longer gives me a dialog box either, I get prompted at the command line to enter the template I wish to use...

    Thank you for your help

Type in FILEDIA, set it to 1.
