Some months ago our office did the training for C3D 2010 and it seemed to go rather well.
One of the questions that I haven't been able to get answered by the trainer was about point and data management.
With this in mind, I had several related questions:
1. What is the best form of data management?
I can see that maintaining points "locally" for RPR and site plans as they don't need to go past that drawing. Larger projects, I need to ensure that I don't overlap point numbers going out to the field. My understanding is that I'd have to use the vault for this.
2. What is the effect of having points in a XREF'ed file and how do they impact the local file you're working in?
3. Can one set up C3D 2010 so that points are locked in place from the outset instead of having them, by default, being able to to moved and such?
I'm still trying to figure out what some of the "right" questions to ask are.
