Default can't update existing dwg file

My name is Josh and for my schoolproject i have to make an electrical scheme therefor
i'm using autocad electrical 2010 and an old scheme which i need to upgrade. Unfortunatly i have an problem with my dwg file:
When i open it the file askes for VeSys.shx which is missing
Then when te dwg file opens i can add components but i can't move or delete existing components.
The original file is missing so i hope there is a way to solve this problem.
I'm new with autocad electrical so i hope someone can help me
I thank you for your time and pardon me for my bad english.

    Greetings,
    Josh

    Hi Josh, welcome to AUGI.

I suspect that VeSys.shx comes from Mentor Graphics' VeSys product.

There is a user forum which might help.

There is also a forum here for acad electrical.
