    Default Revolve in mass editor?

I'm trying to create an object with a dished or bowl-shaped top using a void revolve. I have a circle drawn and a profile for the void revolve, but it says it can't create the geometry, perhaps because the vertical part of the profile needs to be the same as the axis? Any idea how to create such an object?

    Draw profile.
Draw revolve axis (separate from profile).
    Select both.
    Create form.
