Default Need assistance with Connection Extension for 3dsmax 2010

    Hello 3ds Max Forum.

I´m sneaking in from the Revit forum, since I´m in need of some help from a Max user with the Connection Extension for 3dsmax 2010 installed.

The extension is available from Subscription Center, but i´m only using a trial of Max for testing purposes, and would REALLY REALLY apreciate it, if womeone would be kind enough to grab the attached .3ds file, and try to export it to .sat with Max, and the Connection Extension.

If the result turns out as I hope, it´ll surely be worth acquiring 3ds Max just for this

    Thanks a bunch in advance

It took a while to export from 3ds max on my dual core cpu laptop - say roughly 5 minutes. It turned your 1.7MB 3ds file and turned it into a 75MB+ sat file. ...but it did work. Due to the size of the file even after I zipped it, I have posted it to Mediafire. Here is the link:

Please let us know if this turned out how you were hoping or not.

    Steve.

Really apreciate your effort, it´s very kind of you.
But honestly, I was expecting (hoping for) a 75Kb .sat file, and not a 75Mb file

Now wondering, if inventor would a better tool for it... maybe using the ADSK format...

    But again, thanks a lot

I've always seen huge sat files, even with puny and simple objects...
