I'll try to explain:
I renamed a folder that contains our excel files that are linked into an autocad file. I then opened up the autocad file and it found the excel file in the folder that was renamed. I found this odd and decided to move the renamed folder to my desktop. I had closed down the autocad file without saving so all the oleobjects should have the original folder name and location. I then opened up the autocad file and it found the excel files in the renamed folder on my desktop. So I closed down the autocad file without saving again. I then went to another computer in the office and opened up the autocad file. Guess what...... it went to my computer and loaded theexcel files from the renamed folder on my desktop.
How is it getting the file location? I'm at a loss on this.
We have our files on a fileserver running 2003, a SBS with AD on it and my computer is running windows 7.
Could someone please tell me how autocad is able to find these moved files?
Thanks,
Chris
